Grandview Heights was part of Marble Cliff, which was settled in 1890 and incorporated in 1901, before becoming a separate village in 1906 and a city in 1931. Its growth was concentrated into a single decade: 1,185 residents in 1920, 6,358 by 1930 — a 436.5% increase.
